I know how frustrating it becomes when you forgot the WiFi password of your Airtel 4G hotspot. But the problem arises if you don’t know how to retrieve that forgotten password.
Relax…
The good news is it’s really easy and simple to connect your devices to your Airtel 4G hotspot device even if you forget the wifi password.
The question is- how exactly would you do that?
Let’s begin.
How to restore your WiFi connection when you forget wifi password of Airtel 4G Hotspot?
You might have opened the back panel of the 4G hotspot router and possibly you might have seen that default wifi password you’ve used to login your mobile, PC and laptop for the first time.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, then see this image below.
When you take out the back panel of the hotspot along with its battery, you will be able to see some parameters written on it.
Now, I want you to note down that password written under WiFI key.
Now watch this image below.
If you watch carefully, There is a tiny RESET button on the hotspot.
When you RESET the device, all the existing configuration you have saved previously like the WiFi password, blocked MAC addresses, administrative password and everything will reset to its default value. No need to worry though; giving a RESET to a router is perfectly fine and you can configure it later on anytime.
Before giving a Hard RESET, you have to turn on the hotspot device. If the hotspot device is turned off, then no matter how many times you RESET it, it won’t work. So, make sure the device is turned on.
Now I want you to take a pen and press that RESET button for 10 seconds until the LED on the hotspot device blinks off and on again.
This is how you reset Airtel 4g hotspot and this process is called giving a hard reset to a router.
Once you are done with RESET, the SSID(name of the WiFi network), WiFi password and all other settings would get set to its default value.
Now you will be able to connect your devices to the wifi network of hotspot device using the password written on the back of the hotspot under the wifi key field. Since, you have RESET the device, the name of the wifi access point too changes to its default name i.e AIRTEl-E55573.
I hope this guide on how to reset Airtel 4G hotspot device to restore your forgotten WiFi password helps you in connecting your devices back again to its wifi network.
Now you can log in and configure the Airtel 4G hotspot device and change its WiFi password if you want, which is totally optional.
That’s it. If you have any questions then put it on the comment section below. I would love to help you.
